One More Week To ORD!!
Finally...that special day...is...near...
NSFs all wait for this special day where they can smell their pink IC. It may seem like a card, but with that card, you are no longer a chao recruit/lance corporal/corporal/insert-any-rank, you are now a civilian.
One sad thing though. It's ORD instead of ROD. This goes to show how one switch of letters can mean so much a difference. In this case, it's 10 years of re-service.

what's so great about that?h
Hmm. Well, should this be something good or bad? XD
Jerine,
It's the day where Singaporean males are able to resume their civilian lives. It's the day where they no longer need to serve the army full-time. However, they still need to go for re-service, which can be disruptive to their civilian lives.
Teddy,
It depends which aspect of it you are talking about...haha...
i know... but still there's nothing so special to me. you're still one piece before or after. well, maybe i don't feel the joy at all because i'm not a male.
Jerine,
I know of one who injured his back and another who broke his knee. So, there are risks in it too.
Not really true. There are some girls who understand the value of ORD when their boyfriends finish their 2 years of NS. I know of one girl who was so happy that she celebrated with her boyfriend. Haha...anyway, thanks for sharing your viewpoint :D
